Some interesting facts about Vauxhall...
In 2021 the Vauxhall Corsa was the best-selling car in the UK, and so far, sales for 2022 seem to indicate that it will hold on to the top spot for another year. The Corsa has been ever present on our streets since its launch way back in 1993 when it replaced the aging Vauxhall Nova.
The first Vauxhall model was produced in 1903, making the brand the oldest British car manufacturer to have continuously produced vehicles for our roads. Prior to 1903 the company had been a marine engine builder.
Cars badged as Vauxhall are only sold in the UK. In other countries the Opel brand is used.
Way back in the early 1920s, Vauxhall produced the first car to be sold in the UK that was capable of achieving 100mph.
Since 2004 all new Vauxhall cars feature a mysterious shark design somewhere within the car. It was introduced as a bit of fun for Vauxhall owners by one of the brands designers. So the next time you are sat in a Vauxhall have a good luck around to see if you can find the shark. They have been known to crop up on the side of the glove box, around the cup holders and even in the engine bay!
During World War II Vauxhall's factory in Luton switched from building cars to producing tanks to help with the war effort. The result was the Churchill tank and more than 5000 were manufactured.
The company is named Vauxhall after the area of London where it was initially based building marine engines. Today the company has two manufacturing plants in the UK, Luton and Ellesmere Port.

How do I sell my Vauxhall?
The process is very straight forward. Firstly, you need to generate an initial valuation for your vehicle. You can do this by entering your vehicle registration at the bottom of this page. Our system will then produce a pre-inspection valuation that will be displayed on screen, it is free and takes only a few seconds to generate.
If you are happy with the valuation, then we can arrange an appointment where one of our vehicle purchasers will assess your vehicle before making you a final offer. If you are happy to proceed with the sale of your vehicle, we then pay you the agreed amount via instant bank transfer. The payment is made while we are still at the appointment and so if you have access to online banking this gives you the added peace of mind to be able to confirm you have received the payment before our vehicle purchaser leaves.
Appointments typically take less than one hour to complete and can be booked seven days a week.
If you have any outstanding finance remaining on the vehicle, then we will also help you to take care of that on the day by dealing directly with your finance company on your behalf to pay off the remaining debt using money from the purchase price.
