You have received your online quote by entering your registration number in the box above, you have booked an appointment with our call centre team, our purchaser has visited you at your home (or workplace) to inspect the vehicle and you have agreed to sell your car to us, so what happens next?
What happens once I sell my car to webuyurcar?
Well, the good news is that just like our appointments, the collection process is easy and hassle-free - you don't have to do anything. You don't even need to be at home when we collect the vehicle!
During your appointment to sell your car, if you agree to the sale you will receive payment for your vehicle via instant bank transfer whilst our purchaser is still with you. At this point the vehicle becomes the property of webuyurcar and the vehicle purchaser will take the keys for the vehicle with them once the appointment has been concluded.
Our head office team will have been automatically notified of the sale of the vehicle and will arrange for our transport team to collect the vehicle. We aim to collect within seven working days. So long as our transport team are able to access the vehicle then you will not need to be present when the vehicle is collected.
If the car is roadworthy our transport team will simply drive it away. If it is not roadworthy then they will have been made aware of this and will collect the vehicle using a vehicle transporter.
Top tips for a hassle-free sale
Before handing over the keys please ensure you have removed all belongings, as once it has been collected it is unlikely that we would be able to return any items from the vehicle. Remember to check the glove box and all those little cubby holders that are easy to forget about.
If you have a parking permit or any other permits fixed to your windscreen, then remember to carefully remove them and retain for your next vehicle.
If the vehicle will be an obstruction where it is parked whilst waiting to be collected, then please mention this to our vehicle purchaser and they will be happy to park it in a more convenient location.
