Stay safe with Webuyurcar

The children go back to school in just a couple of days, and we all know that the school morning routine can be stressful. Despite our best intentions, something always seems to go wrong, whether that be forgotten homework or spilled milk. But we can assure you that the way to an easy morning is preparing the evening before.

Ensuring your day fits around the school run is stressful; never mind the parking up near the school. With everyone arriving at the same time and trying to get as close as possible to the school, there are always increased traffic levels.

Were to park on the school run.

-We suggest parking just a few minutes walk away from the school; this will keep your car a lot safer from getting hit or scratched. And keep your children out of danger when getting in and out of the car, and there will be less congestion around.

- Always obey parking and waiting restrictions, don't block driveways or double park - even for a few minutes - and switch off your engine while waiting for your child.

-Check with friends, family, and social media channels to see if anyone has any spare driveways you can use just a few minutes a day to park on while you pick your children up from school.

-If you could share lifts with other people who live locally to yourself who also go to the same school as your children, this would reduce the number of cars parked near the school.

-Ensure you obey the speed limit at all times, which is 20mph, especially at dropping off and picking up time. Bear in mind that there are lots of possibly distracted parents and children around who could step into the road at any time.

Plan ahead for a stress-free morning.

The key to a stress-free morning is getting everything ready the evening before. Ensure to keep your routine as simple as possible and make sure to get everything ready for yourself as well as the children.

-If your children have packed lunches for school, we suggest you prepare them the night before.

-Get the school uniforms ready the night before. This will help with any last-minute ironing or lost items.

-Keep a designated space for all school shoes to help stop them from getting lost. This should be by the door, as this will encourage the children to put on their shoes and leave immediately.

-Keep breakfast simple on school mornings; we suggest cereal, yogurts, or toast. Something quick to make and eat on the way if you are running late.

-Purchase an alarm clock and set it forward 10 minutes; this will ensure you always have a spare 10 minutes.

-Keep all essentials, such as keys, money, phone, etc., in one place; this will help on busy mornings so you are not running around looking for essential lost items.

-Ensure the children are in bed on time the evening before; this will help them get up much easier in the morning.

-Make sure all homework is done and put in their bag for the next day, ready to hand in.
